ARBON SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
September 13, 2016
The Arbon School Board met on September 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. members Jason Williams, Jake Evans, Jessica Ward as were Robin Claunch, Debbie Curry as was clerk, Cheri Evans.
The motion was moved by Jake and seconded by Jason to approve the agenda. The motion was moved by Jason and seconded by Jake to approve the minutes. The bills were reviewed. The motion was moved by Jake and seconded by Jessica to approve them. The total M & O expenses for September was $22,094.74. The school received $126,851.00 from the State Department, $309.74 from property taxes, $1,060.06 from REAP funds and $71.31 from interest on investments. The school M & O balance is $290,296.84. The Plant Facility received $23.40 from interest the Plant Facility balance is $54,331.22. The motion was moved by Jason and seconded by Jessica to approve the financial statement.
The Fun Run/Walk fund raiser will be held on September 24th at 9:00 a.m. Debbie has someone coming to the school on October 1st at 9:00 a.m. to do a CPR class with staff and anyone else that is interested. The school will pay for the staff out of the Professional Development monies. The teachers are to compile a list needs that could be expended from REAP Funds.
The board will look in upgrading the school security system so more of the grounds would be monitored The Ten Year Maintenance Plan was reviewed, revised, updated and approved. The board had the second reading for the duel enrollment policy #3112.
The board worked on some changes to the teacher, lead teacher, administrative job descriptions. The clerk/business manager/etc. position job will be posted in October.
The next meeting will be held October 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The motion was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
