Mary Andersen was born 14 January 1885 in Mendon, Cache, Utah to parents Andrew Andersen (also known as Anders Jorgensen) and Sophia Larsen Andersen. She was the sixth child and second daughter.
She married Charles Thomas Cunningham in November 1905, when he was twenty-eight and she was twenty. Â They were the parents of one daughter, Hilda Margaretta Andersen, born in 1906.Â
Mary died at age thirty-two in December 1917 in Mendon, Utah of heart disease. She was buried in the Mendon Cemetery. According to her death certificate, she and Charles had divorced, and Mary had taken back her maiden name.
Mary and Charles’ only daughter Hilda was then raised by Mary’s parents, Andrew and Sophia Larsen, in Mendon.
