ARBON SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
January 12, 2017
The Arbon School Board met on January 12, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. members Jason Williams, Jake Evans, Jessica Ward were present as were Debbie Curry, Robin Claunch, Christie Evans and clerk, Cheri Evans.
The motion was moved by Jessica and seconded by Jake to approve the agenda. The motion was moved by Jake and seconded by Jessica to approve the minutes. The bills were reviewed. The motion was moved by Jake and seconded by Jason to approve them. The total M & O expenses for January was $24,761.50. The school received $5,216.19 from REAP, $2,595.58 from property taxes and $129.65 from interest on investments. The school M & O balance is $258,794.41. The Plant Facility received $27.87 from interest the Plant Facility balance is $54,435.89. The motion was moved by Jake and seconded by Jason to approve the financial statement.
Skills, skiing and snowboarding, at Pebble Creek will start on this Friday, January 13 and end on Friday, February 3, due to school being closed on January 6th.
The motion was moved by Jake to declare January 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th as days of emergency closure due to below zero temperatures, road condition and blowing and drifting snow and therefore do not need to be make up. The motion was seconded by Jason and passed unanimously.
The board and teachers went over the teacher job descriptions and duties and made a few changes. Jessica will correct the changes and email a final copy to everyone.
The next meeting will be held February 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The motion was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
