ARBON SCHOOL BOARD

November 14th, 2017 7:00PM

The Arbon School Board met on November 14th at 7:00 p.m. School board members; Jason Williams, Jessica Ward and Business manager, Christie Evans were present. Also, teachers, Robin Claunch and Debbie Curry were present.

The motion was moved by Jessica and seconded by Jason to approve the agenda. The motion was moved by Jessica and seconded by Jason to approve the minutes.  The bills were reviewed.  The motion was moved by Jason and seconded by Jessica to approve them.  The total M&O expenses for November was $24,948.11.  The school received $279.32 in October and $299.02 in November from interest on investments.  The school M&O balance is $222,986.41 The Plant Facility received $48.33 in October and $51.21 from interest.  The Plant Facility balance is $56,921.38. The motion was moved by Jason and seconded by Jessica to approve the financial statement.

Teachers:

On November 17th there will be no school due to teacher workday.  District Evaluation Plan is due December 1st.  Jessica Ward and Christie Evans will be meeting to work on a plan to submit to the state. Teacher Evaluations were completed on November 8th by Blaine McInelly.  Christmas program is December 19th at 11am & 7pm.

New Business:

2016-2017 Audit was reviewed by Jason and Jessica.  The annual report will be reviewed at next month’s school board meeting.  

Old Business:

The board would like to improve the lighting outside of the school. Jake spoke with Jon Hunt with Hunt electric to bid our building for LED lights.

The cameras for the bus have been ordered and should arrive in a couple weeks.

The next meeting will be held on December 5th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The motion was moved by Jason and seconded by Jessica to adjourn the meeting.  The meeting adjourned at 8:35pm.
